About Me

Hello! I’m Anne Dumais, owner and service provider at Yellow Pebbles Counselling and Navigation. It’s a pleasure to connect with you. Here’s a bit about me:

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University (1994) and am in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, including compliance with regulations guiding the practice of Psychotherapy by an Occupational Therapist (OT). I am also a long-standing member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.

My commitment to learning hasn’t stopped since graduation. I continuously seek out opportunities to grow, both personally and professionally, so I can better serve my clients and community.

With 30 years of frontline experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages and their cares, supporting them through complex health challenges, chronic illness, terminal illness, end-of-life care, and death. I’ve worked in a wide range of settings, including private homes, group homes, supportive housing, retirement communities, long-term care facilities, schools, daycares, workplaces, hospitals (including SickKids), and hospices. In addition to my role as an OT, I’ve served as a Care Coordinator, Resource Coordinator, System Consultant, Manager, and Director, all with the goal of optimizing client experiences and taking a holistic approach to care.

Alongside my professional experience, I have personally navigated the challenges of chronic illness and end-of-life care. This combination of lived and learned experience makes me deeply committed to exploring every possibility for my clients and working collaboratively with them and their community of carer and circle of care, to achieve the best outcomes both emotionally and physically.

I’m passionate about providing thoughtful, compassionate care and look forward to partnering with you on your path.
